This is a copy of the letter Hesston's Mayor Miller wrote to let the Harvey County Board of Commissioners know that he planned to attend the dedication of the new Harvey County Court House on April 2, 1966.
Saved with this letter is the letter, dated March 15, 1966, sent by the Board of County Commissioners of Harvey County to Mayor Miller inviting him to attend the opening ceremonies of the new and recently completed Harvey County Courthouse. Kansas's governor, William Avery was to give a short address at the ceremony, and a time capsule was to be packed and placed in the cornerstone. The letter also states that if he was able to attend, Mayor Miller would be seated on the platform with other honored guests and would be properly introduced to the assembled people of Harvey County.
