Title
Letter dated January 18, 1974 from Milton R. Miller to Joseph C. Harder
Subject
mayor
Description
Mayor Milton Miller advises Senator Harder that Hesston's City Council discussed Senate Bill No. 626 at their meeting the previous day. Bill 626 provided for a change in the allocation of funds received under the Act of Congress providing for revenue sharing. The council felt it would do great harm to Hesston, Harvey County, and other local cities, since it would substantially reduce the amount of revenue sharing received at a time when those funds were greatly needed. Mayor Miller and the City Council encourage Mr. Harder to vote against the bill and exercise whatever influence he can to help it be defeated.
