A scene of 100 block, North Main, Hesston Ks. This photo is dated 1890, but was likely a later date according to men interviewed who were children in 1910. They thought it was more likely to be 1900 approx. MB 1 -- handwritten on back of photograph
Thought to be the earliest photo of Hesston. Estimated date 1900. Cow in photo is said to be owned by Dr. Ball. Ball came to Hesston in September 1889 so the photo could have been taken earlier than 1900. -- Bandy, Murray C., "Hesston Centennial 1886-1896", pg. 21.
