Description

This building was constructed in 1917 for Theo Perkins and Fred J. Wenger. It was the fourth brick building in Hesston, KS. It's first use was a garage with a gasoline pump in front. Leaning on the pump is Theo Perkins and at left is Firth (?) Charlesworth, son-in-law of William Schraeder, depot agent. Charlesworth operated the Hesston Mill. Building is on lots 18 and 19, Block 18, original townsite, Hesston, Ks. -- handwritten on back of photograph.
